Handprint Color Mixing Keepsake book

Color Mixing meets Handprint Craft meets Keepsake Book :)

also great for mothers day if your a preschool. I did this one year and the moms loved it!

Need:

Paint: Red, Yellow, Blue (and white of you have a girl that wants to make pink)
Paintbrushes
Paper (newsprint or white construction paper
Yarn or stapler if your making this into a book

To Make

Paint each hand a different color and make a print of each on top of the paper
Now for the fun part smoosh your hands together
  • Red + Blue: smoosh them together to make Purple
  • Red + Yellow: smoosh them together to make Orange
  • Blue + Yellow: smoosh them together to make Green
After they have made the secondary color have them make handprints on the paper below the individual colors.

If your making this into a book: add a cover and back page with heavier construction paper, can glue each color mixing handprint page onto construction paper to make it sturdier also.

Don't forget to date the keepsake book and have them write their name!

PS: the white handprint won't really show up but your little girl (or boy) won't care because they are making Pink :)
